Not universally known to most collectors is the fact that a few astronauts, in addition to leaving the full crew signed insurance covers with their families, also left some single signed insurance covers as well. For the Apollo 16 mission, John Young left a small stash of Apollo 16 covers of a different design then the crew signed covers in his safe deposit.Any insurance cover collector would want one of these in order to complete a full collection. The fact that these are signed by Capt. Young with his classic vintage beautiful signature just before leaving for the moon, makes them a true great rarity and highly desirable. These single signed covers are "launch date" canceled and were canceled in Houston, where the crew signed Insurance covers were canceled at KSC in Florida. Also, these single signed covers carry the Stamp Club cache, where the crew signed covers carry the Bishop cache. There are just a few of these historic covers and each is also certified on the reverse of the cover as an insurance cover by Capt. Young. These are among the last few artifacts available directly from his personal collection. These covers were originally offered for $745 each. We have received the okay to blow the few remaining out for $485 for a single cover or (2) covers for $795. Add $15 shipping/handling. PayPal payments must make payments using the "Friends and Family" option. Serious inquiries please contact: assetalt@aol.com to reserve.

In answer to a number of questions about what the total number of the single signed covers, there were approximately 75 covers in total, which is quite a small amount. These last remaining covers are a wonderful deal for all collectors. Don't be disappointed. Contact us now at: assetalt@aol.com to reserve while they are still available. Don't forget about the unflown STS-1 silver Robbins medals as well. Only three remain. |
