I have added many items throughout the site at fixed prices ranging from $20 to $10K. More updates this week. Many are artifacts coming from astronauts and flight directors/controllers. A few examples of artifacts and autographs just added include... - Apollo 13 crew signed with Swigert
- Apollo 7 crew signed red stamped photo
- Mercury 7 hand signed Project Mercury FDC
- Scott Carpenter's Naval Aviator's Kneeboard
- Intact LRSI flown tile from Challenger with outstanding provenance
- Apollo 17 CSM Rescue Book from the mission files of Apollo 17 Flight Director Neil Hutchinson and other console used materials as well.
The above are just some examples. Items being added in the next day or so include among others: - Shuttle ALT Cockpit flown cue card
- American Flag and Apollo 17 patch flown to the moon on that mission (orbit)
- More books from the library of Eugene Kranz
- Skylab II Beta cloth signed by Joe Kerwin (from his personal collection)
- More letters from the personal archives of Schirra, Carpenter and Cooper.
Not meaning to boast but the fact is that Farthest Reaches has the largest variety of vintage space memorabilia and astronaut autographs you'll find anywhere. We've now been in business for over 16 years and have thousands of happy, repeat clients. Please stop by and take a look. I continue to be a one man show and offer the personalized service that seems to be almost non existent in today's world so shoot me an email if questions or just to say hello.More updates every night this week. Thanks for your continuing support! |

The way I read Steve's post is he is adding them to his website, so an email to him is not needed, just go to the website to see and buy. |

I'm pretty sure Steve doesn't have a cart built into his site so if you want to buy something you do have to email him - please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't see an add to cart or checkout button anywhere. |

Steve solicited people to email him to pick up orders in-person at Spacefest (in the Spacefest thread, not here) which at least for me was the reason I emailed. Alas, I've emailed on other occasions with no reply. No bueno. |

Steve is, I believe, a one-man shop, so it may take a couple days but he has always proven to be very reliable. |

Jason, you emailed me on 5/3 according to my time stamp at 6:48pm. I receive a number of emails and sometimes it takes me a little time to respond. I'll get back to you later today. |

Everyone, I AM a one man show and admittedly email is not always my strongest suit though strangely manage to spend an huge amount of time responding to it. I go through phases when I'm particularly busy and this is one of those times. For those of you who have not received a response in a reasonable amount of time, please call with my cell phone being best. It's 310.892.5150. That number will accept texts as well but please identify yourself when sending a text however, lol. I will try to respond to each of you before the end of the day unless you contact me first. |

You're correct. I've been putting most of my time into site updates for the past week or two. More to come. |

Richard, you are correct. Shopping carts don't work well for me because I have so many "one of" items. It would simply be too labor intensive. I always advise that you first send an email, text, or call to check availability. Payment can then be worked out via direct credit card payment, PayPal, check or money order. Is always best to give me credit card information over the phone or broken down into a three part email for safety. For those of you who might be wondering, I NEVER save credit card information. Following the sale, it's destroyed and in fact, not maintained anywhere in my records. This for my client's own security and safety. |

Almost correct. To order it is necessary to email, text or phone to confirm availability. Payment can then be worked out over the phone or via email or PayPal. |

For those of you who may not know perhaps a brief bio will help put this into perspective. I've held a full time professional position for almost 40 years in another field. I'm still up and out to work 5 days per week during normal business hours. That said, at around 6 p.m. each evening, I become Steve of Farthest Reaches and generally work well into the night including weekends and holidays. Farthest Reaches is now going into it's 16th year. What started out as a hobby grew out of control and into what you see today. It's easily a 40+ hour per week business so as you can tell, I'm truly the definition of "burning the candle at both ends." Still I love every minute of it as it's been my passion for many years. One of the many reasons for my growth has been my maintaining low overhead and is part of why I have chosen to remain a one man show. Besides, I trust no one as much as I trust myself and think for the most part my clients reap the rewards. I must own that I'm sometimes slow responding to email particularly if I'm swamped. It's a delicate balance... packing/shipping or responding to email, posting to the site, developing additional material? Whichever I choose to do can temporarily effect my ability to get to the other. If you've read this far, I ask that you bear with me and use my cell if you're not getting the email reply you've been waiting for. It's almost always a sure bet as I keep it handy all day, 7 days per week. It can be found on the bottom of my home page and each of the pages throughout the site. Thanks as always for your continued support. |

Although it's true that there can sometimes be a delay in email exchanges, whenever I call, Steve gets back to me right away. And he goes out of his way to make transactions as easy and convenient possible (arranging meetings for pickups, etc.). The flexibility of a one-man operation! Highly recommended. |

Hi Steve, nope... it was earlier emails that I am waiting to hear back on. You have my cell, feel free to contact when available. I would prefer that over text. |

I was curious why some items say they cannot be shipped outside the US. Is there any explanation out there for this? I've seen this with several NASA artifacts. Thanks! |

If the items you are looking at are parts of the space shuttle, for example, then the U.S. State Department's International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) precludes their export or sale to non-U.S. citizens. |
