For fans of Mike Jenne's novel "Blue Gemini," Tim Gagnon has now created a commemorative crew patch. In the patch design, two cowboys (Carson and Ourecky) ride hard along their orbital trajectory, in pursuit of their elusive prey — the "Devil's Herd" — represented by the steer skull with the red eyes. Carson's whirling lasso denotes their IIK (Intercept-Inspect-Kill) mission.A "Blue Gemini" symbol (at the bottom) is "ghost stitched" with the same thread as the background, to signify the highly classified nature of this project. The patch is now available for purchase from Skyforce Space Patches. |

This is not just a "commemorative." I worked closely with the author Mike Jenne to craft an authentic period patch that might be worn by the members of the Aerospace Research Project. |

I received my patch the other day. The patch really looks fantastic. Great job! Wondering if there are any plans to make patches for the other two books in the series. If so, count me in. |

The patch is first mentioned in the second book. As Mike tells it, it would never be worn by the crew in space, but given to high ranking officers, as a way to encourage their support of the program. But, there is another event in the second book that could have a patch representing them. But I will not spoil it! Also, you should listen to "Ghost Riders in the Sky" while looking at the patch... just for fun! Here is how I display mine: |

I haven't gotten to the second reference but I'm in the middle of the second book right now and got to the part that mentions the patch. I was sort of "meh" about it before but after reading the book and realizing the patch is a pretty good representation of what's mentioned in the book, yeah, I want one now! |
