There is this one currently on eBay. This is the second week it is listed. Opening price is still too steep in my opinion, but was lowered by $25 from last weeks auction. Still no bids. Ends today. Reputable seller by feedback.Perhaps an email with a Buy It Now offer would be a good strategy if your seriously interested in the item. This is a Fred Haise Space Artifact Series numbered 186/200 version. A Kansas Cosmosphere Apollo 13 just sold two weeks ago for $500. |

One of my favourite space artefact series pieces... I have number 17 of 200. |

For those reading who may be unfamiliar, there are three different "official" acrylic presentations with Apollo 13 couch fabric: - Kansas Cosmosphere lucite, sold to the public, limited but edition size unknown.
- Kansas Cosmosphere lucite (with larger piece of couch fabric) presented to the cast and crew of "Apollo 13," the 1995 feature film. Limited to 25 pieces.
- Astronaut Scholarship Foundation lucite, part of the Space Artifact Series, limited to 200 pieces.

Robert, if your were to compare the regular public Kansas Cosmosphere Apollo 13 couch fabric lucite to the numbered Astronaut Scholarship Foundation Apollo 13 lucite, which is the more desirable option for the collector? Are the values similar? |

The Cosmosphere version is older and originates from the restoration of the Apollo 13 command module, which the museum oversaw. I think the fabric piece is larger, too. That said, the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation's acrylic is certified by Fred Haise and makes for an attractive, albeit smaller, display. I haven't tracked their sales, but all things being equal, I think the Cosmosphere acrylic might slightly outperform the ASF version on the secondary market. |

I just posted one for sale. It's showing on the right side of the Farthest Reaches' home page under "Breaking News." |
