Close to 20 Wally Schirra personal artifacts have just been added to his page under "Astronaut Artifacts" accessible by visiting Farthest Reaches.Included are some most interesting autographed items signed by von Braun, the Mercury 7 and Gus Grissom. Also a flown flag and numerous plaques that hung on the wall of Wally's den and some space related items with a Disney tie-in. Even more to be added in the next few days. I have just received a number of additional items from the Wally Schirra Family Collection to offer for sale through Farthest Reaches.The first to be posted will be a passport used from 1972-77. It has a photo of Wally Schirra and is twice hand signed with his full name, Walter M. Schirra Jr. This passport is absolutely filled to the brim with records of his world travels from the first to the last page. Though I have a few others to offer, this is the earliest and is priced at $895. This is an exceptional item and one of the last of any passports held by the Schirra Family. Second, I have available a number of Wally Schirra hand signed, cancelled checks. These are priced at a very reasonable $40 each and are in outstanding condition. Many more items are available and will be added to Farthest Reaches, but thought I'd give you all a heads up, particularly on the passport, which is a major keeper. | |
