I may be mistaken, but I do not believe any flown patches are in private hands (outside the family members themselves). The so-called "hybrid" patches that were first found from a Resnik family member were described as being distributed prior to the mission. |

Thanks for the clarification Robert. Yes, I'm referring to one of these "hybrid" patches — the ones produced for family and friends before the mission etc. |

To the best of my knowledge only 11, (possibly 12) examples of this STS-51L 'Hybrid' patch have come to light via the secondary market, (eBay). Of which 4 examples have been re-sold, 3 privately, (one twice), and one on eBay.These are certainly rare patches, but I still think there are a fair number out there still to be found and identified.
