This is a full scale lunar hammer replica, made from 3D printed parts. In addition to the metal finish, it has also been filled with a filler material in order to help it "feel" like the real thing as well- nice and heavy. The hammer is completely removable from the wooden base so it can be displayed however you wish.
If you are interested in this finished piece, please let me know. If you would like to order the parts and build it yourself, click here. Thanks! |

In my opinion, this looks like an awesome product! I believe there were two versions of the hammer flown on Lunar landing missions. The earlier ones were lighter weight and the later ones were heavier.

Does the soda come with the piece or is it an extra charge? |

Thanks! And you are correct in that there were two versions of the hammer. This one represents the larger, heavier version. The first one had a much slimmer design. quote: Originally posted by calcheyup: Does the soda come with the piece or is it an extra charge?
Feel free to make an offer on my models, but you can't have my Dr. Pepper!!! I've found that a soda can is the best reference for scale because they are so universal. By the way, the hammer is sold!!! |

May I ask what you sold it for and whether you plan to make another? |

NAAmodel#240, I'd be glad to make you another hammer if you would like one. The cost is $300 for just the hammer, and $350 for the hammer and plaque as you see pictured here. If you would like one, just send me a private message and I'd be glad to build one for you. Thanks! |
