I am interested in buying a print of Alan Bean's "A Giant Leap" — at a reasonable price. Anyone have one or know of a print available from another source? Thanks. — Jon |

Take a look at ArtUSA and search on Alan Bean and it comes up for $295.Special, free shipping today (8/26/14). |

You have it confused with "The First Human Footprint". "A Giant Leap" sold out within a few hours of its release. The only place to get it is through the secondary market. |

I have a copy of "The First Human Footprint" unframed — copy no. 63/100. It's definitely pretty cool. Not sure what the secondary market is for it yet (and I'm new to Alan Bean prints so please don't call me crazy) but anyone willing to trade an unframed "Giant Leap" for my canvas of "First Human Footprint"? |

Very interesting proposition, Jonnyed. You may not be as crazy as you think. Sure A Giant Leap sells for upwards of $3,000, but there were 175 giclees produced, while only 100 of The First Human Footprint made. Your piece, being the rarer of the 2 might end up being the more valuable one. Of course rarity doesn't always equal value, but I think in this case, it just might. |
