I am offering for sale dozens of photos, lithographs, letters, and other items signed by astronauts, from the days of Mercury to the early shuttle flights. Every one of them is priced at less than $100.

I'll list them below in several posts, separated by price: $95 each, then $75, $40, $25, and finally $10. I'll include some pictures, but if you need a photo of an item that is not pictured, send me an e-mail. (Most of them are "standard" items, like NASA WSS lithos.)

There are actually a few non-astronaut autographs mixed in, like a Kurt Debus handwritten letter (he was the first director of Kennedy Space Center) and a signed photo of Robert McCall working on one of his magnificent space murals.

If you buy $75 or more, shipping will be $6 for Priority Mail, which includes tracking. Less than that, shipping will be $2 for First Class postage (unless you prefer $6 for Priority Mail).

$95 each:

  • SOLD Apollo 9 beta cloth signed by McDivitt and Schweickart; trimmed to about 4x4. $95 SOLD

  • SOLD Apollo 14 crew-signed 4x6 index card with Zarelli Letter of Authenticity – but the Shepard, in his opinion, is secretarial. Nice big Roosa and Mitchell signatures. $95 SOLD

  • SOLD Mercury astronauts Glenn, Carpenter, and Slayton signed Mercury first day of issue postal cover. $95 SOLD

  • SOLD Skylab 3 crew-signed postal cover (Bean's Skylab EVA on a Colorano "silk" cachet) $95 SOLD

$75 each:
  • Carpenter, Scott typed 1970 letter to S.D. West in England, assuring him that "All photographs and letters bearing my signature have been personally signed by me"; very faint traces of adhesive on the back corners, not showing on the front. $75

  • Carpenter, Scott signed color business suit litho. $75

  • Early cosmonauts signed B+W 4x6 photo of first four cosmonauts, signed by Titov, Popovich, Nikolayev. Titov's signature is smudged. (Titov in particular set many landmarks. To quote the scholars at Wikipedia, he was the first person to orbit the Earth multiple times (a total of 17), to spend more than a day in space, to sleep in orbit and to suffer from space sickness. In fact, he also holds the record for being the first person to vomit in space. He was the first to pilot a spaceship personally and he made the first manual photographs from orbit, thus setting a record for modern space photography. He also was the first person to film the Earth using, for ten minutes, a professional quality Konvas-Avtomat movie camera. A month short of 26 years old at launch, he remains the youngest person to fly in space. As for Popovich and Nikolayev, they were the cosmonauts when two spacecraft were in orbit at the same time. $75

  • Duke, Charlie signed vintage NASA business suit litho, with him holding LM; with his handwritten "Best wishes"; very faint traces of adhesive on the back corners, not showing on the front. $75

  • Evans, Ron inscribed photo AND handwritten letter. It's a signed insert of his videotape with his WSS photo, with a four-sentence handwritten note on the back mentioning "mementos that went into space for sale". $75

  • Glenn, John signed 1978 Senate memo about a bill he was sponsoring (what looks like discoloration at the top left is just slight wrinking), with one of his Senate business cards. Glenn has been kind enough to sign items for decades, but official papers from his career as a senator are quite rare. This one also comes with a memento of those days. $75

  • McDivitt, James A. typed 11/2/1970 NASA letter as Manager, Apollo Spacecraft Program; returns a dollar that was sent as payment and suggests that it be donated to a church; left margin has small stains and partial hole punches. $75
