I'm moving in a couple months. Does anyone have the original box with the styrofoam inside for the Franklin Mint Lunar Module that I could borrow or buy? I need to pack it carefully. Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated! — Mike |

As a fallback plan, I'd line a box with a trash bag, add 1-2" of styrofoam beads (like from an old beanbag chair...), put in the model, COVER well with beads, then with the neck of the bag closed around a vacuum-cleaner wand [itself covered in cheesecloth to keep out the beads] suck out the air in the bag, then seal it. Double bag if you wish. Presto, a stable, impact resistant package that 'loosens' when the vacuum seal is broken at the destination... |

I recently moved myself and fortunately kept the FM box. Email me and we can work out a loan for your move. | |
