I looked and have bid but will not go higher because of ridiculous high shipping rates. $8. to mail a cover. People take that into account when they bid and that holds down bidders and prices.

I wouldn't call $8 high. He has to have proof of shipping for eBay and Priority Mail would be at least $5.50 and maybe more depending on where they live. That's not even taking into account if they want it insured.

Funny... I actually lose on shipping with flat rate. With insurance is over $8.00.

I am sorry, but I do think that $8. is a lot for a signed cover that is less than $40-$50. There is no need for it to go priority, and shipping should not be more than $3.00. If you ship it through eBay or Paypal, then you have proof of shipping as well as tracking. I would have insured the Armstrong, but the two covers don't have to have it. It is up to the seller what to charge for shipping of course, I am just saying that people factor that into what they are willing to bid. They get turned off by high shipping thus lowering the number of bidders and the amount they will bid, especially on lower priced items.
