Please see my long, smart-assed posting in the models section.I have contractor models: you know, the Gordo Cooper-holding kind. "What kind of models do you have?" "Oh, both kinds: air AND space." Essentially looking to either sell, "trade down" (size wise), and maybe even buy here and there. eBay's a pain, Regency-Superior is too much work, Goldberg's is quite a bit of effort and Aurora is no longer. So what the heck, why not try here? I'm not much of a "post a picture of my collection" guy, but trust that it's up there with most of those here have are. I'll show you mine if you show me yours. |

Yes and yes. But I have no idea how to safely post an address here. Is there some sort of friend mechanism that can be used so that spambots won't grab ahold and suck the lifeblood out of the account? I suppose I could use a temporary account if necessary. |

We currently don't support a private messaging system, so if you want avoid sharing your personal address, then we suggest setting up a Gmail (or other similar service) dedicated account. As for sharing photos, see here for instructions. |

Okay, guys, you're in luck.I just found out that eBay charges a 10% fee on postage too. I'm mad enough at this stupid and illogical fee to try and avoid eBay wherever possible (mister-k-bar there). I've set up an anoymous e-mail, hamhamham@hmamail.com (hmamail, NOT hammail... and yes, I picked that mail site because it works with hamhamham) that will expire in 2015 (so if you're reading this in the future, the account might not be there). What I want to do is revive the alternative community that allowed us to sell outside of evil eBay in the 90's and early 00's. We all knew each other and bought/sold/traded directly. That's how I got my full-scale Vanguard made out of spare Vanguard parts (no, that one stays in the family for the next N generations). All I ask is that this not become a link in the eBay to Regency t0 whatever to eBay flipping cycle: I have enjoyed my models for decades, and if I have to part with them, I want to make sure they're going to a good home, and not just a "flip this house" situation. Selling after awhile? SURE. But knowing you like it helps salve the sadness of seeing it go. (And though money is awesome, it's not enough of a salve. ) Please, send requests to this e-mail, even if you've responded here (so that I have a record). |
