Cargo box has arrived to the Czech Republic in Friday, 3 kilogrames of weight - several taped - travel from Sweden. Now in the process of analysis and replenishment of cargo and changing into neat units as well. All this for a larger order. I added a few autographs, photographs, postcards, badges and philately. I think that those are the interesting things for all. I will inform you as soon as the package goes to Romania.

I wish you a wonderful evening. The package picked up supplies. Weight to 3.5 kg today successfully left the post office in our town. Direction Leap Republic of Romania Pintea Mihaita.

I hope that this package as well armored land safely at your Pintea well. Good luck and joy.

Sorry for the delayed reply but the European Grab Bag landed safely in Romania on Wednesday. It will refuel and liftoff for the UK early next week (when the post office is open for work since this weekend are the Holidays). Will post here when the package departs Romania.

Greetings from Romania, Pintea

Chris, as EGB-V is coming back to the UK, can the EGB-V come back to me please? If no one is added to the list that is. We may as well start sending it back to some of us who had it some time ago to see whats new in it.

Plus it will keep it going on its bold odyssey of European space frontiers if new people what to be add to the list (to boldly go where no EGB has gone before and back).

Yes Chris, as EGB-V is coming back to the United Kingdom I too would like to see if the payload has changed much, especially the patches. Thanks.

That's normally the end for this box, which would mean sending it back to me until the next round.

However, if Angelika (space-coins) or any other participant wants a second go I'm happy for it to go to them first.

As the EGB-V is in the UK and I was the first one to ask for it to come back to me, for the start of the return trip:
  • Butch Wilks (Lowestoft UK)
  • Kevin T. Randall (high wycombe UK)
  • Jacques van Oene (Houten Holland)
  • space-coins, Angelika Schacht (Gechingen Germany)
I'll leave it to spaced out (Chris) to update the list if this is okay, and to add new and old names to it as we go.

I think we all have to say a big thank you to Chris for the way he has kept the EGB-V on track so far. From me to you, thanks Chris and keep up the good work.

spaceman, I'll be emailing my address of to you soon.

I'm very happy to see the box continue its European tour, although I have no idea how much the content has changed through the various stages. I don't even know if it's the same physical box I originally sent out 242 days ago.

I'd like to note that in this first round the box has visited 22 people in 9 countries and has travelled an impressive 8,500km.

I'm particularly pleased that the box reached Daniel in the Czech Republic and new collector Pintea in Romania.

So the full amended flight plan for the EGB-V is now:

  1. Spaced Out (Chris Spain), Le Pecq, France
  2. Apollo8 (Karl F. Gunther), Bundorf, Germany
  3. space-coins, Angelika Schacht, Gechingen, Germany
  4. Rocket Chris, Bremen, Germany
  5. Dietrich (Dietrich Haeseler), Grafelfing, Germany
  6. Jacques van Oene, Houten, Holland
  7. Kirsten Müller, Delft, Holland
  8. Ann, Antwerp, Belgium
  9. Eurospace (Jurgen P Esders), Brussels, Belgium
  10. Dirk (Dirk De Quick), Lierde, Belgium
  11. Butch Wilks, Lowestoft, UK
  12. Kevin T. Randall, High Wycombe, UK
  13. ApolloAlex (Alex Ward), Bromsgrove, UK
  14. Besixdouze (Mike Riches), Hebden Bridge, UK
  15. Steve Procter, Leeds, UK
  16. Mark Print, Paisley, UK
  17. medaris (Cameron Stark), Inverness UK
  18. martin00sr, (Martin Schwebs Rasmussen), Soenderborg, Denmark
  19. perssj, (Jan Persson), molndal, Sweden
  20. Daniel Lazeky, Havirov, Czech Republic
  21. GUZU (Pintea Mihaita), Baia Mare, Romania
  22. -> spaceman (Nick Deakin), Walsall, UK
  23. Butch Wilks, Lowestoft, UK
  24. Kevin T. Randall, High Wycombe, UK
  25. Jacques van Oene, Houten, Holland
  26. space-coins, Angelika Schacht, Gechingen, Germany
And of course if anyone else wants to go back into the rota or wants to join in for the first time please feel free to ask.

Pre-launch countdown is now under way. Looking for a Friday launch window, but am have some tech problems with the launch vehicle as its an old leftover Black Arrow rocket.

Just a heads up for you over the sea in the EU. The launch will be the second one from the Lowestoft launch pad and will head out over the north sea for a time before heading back in land to the UK.

So no going nuts this time (Holland please).

Lift-off, we have a lift-off at 16.15 BST. The Black Arrow rocket with the EGB-V on top lifted off into a lovely blue sky over Lowestoft today.

The 2.30kg box is on a suborbital flight to high Wycombe and will be landing in a few days (if the post office can get it down in time).

The EGB-V landed safely on my door step this morning. I will inspect the payload this weekend.

Is there anyone else in the United Kingdom who would like the EGB-V to land on their door steps before it takes off for Europe & The Netherlands?

The EGB-V took off for The Netherlands to-day at 13:50pm British Summer Time.

I had to change the outer casing as the previous outer casing had been damaged and repaired so many times that it could of been un-flight worthy.

Nooooooo! My beloved EGV-B cargo vehicle was supposed to be 100% reusable. Maybe I need to work on a new design with small tiles that can be replaced individually...
