The Portland Sea Dogs, an AA minor league baseball team based in Portland, Maine are presenting "Maine on the Moon" on Friday, May 20, 2022. The event features an appearance by Expedition 61/62 astronaut Jessica Meir, who will be throwing out the first pitch. In addition, Dr. Meir will take part in a question-and-answer session one hour before the game.

The game takes place at Hadlock Field in Portland, starting at 6:00 p.m.

A number of educational exhibits will be on display in the concourse area. In addition, the first 1,000 fans to enter the park will receive a moon-shaped stress ball.

Did anyone attend this event? I almost made the trip but canceled at the last minute. I was curious about how she was signing.

Though it doesn't show her signing autographs, here is a local news report about Jessica Meir's appearance:

I did attend this event. There was no autograph session, as Jessica Meir was whisked away after her Q&A session. There was one exception: a very young girl did get a book signed.
