Yuri's Night livestream
The Yuri's Night Global Webcast will connect Yuri's Night fans around the world to dozens of astronauts, celebrities, musicians, space professionals and more in a huge celebration of humanity and human spaceflight worldwide.
Some of the segments will include:
  • Retired NASA astronaut Scott Kelly in conversation about isolation with Bob Weir, founding member of The Grateful Dead. Scott spent nearly an entire year in space aboard the International Space Station and knows the reality of living apart from other humans for an extended amount of time. Expect an in-depth and thoughtful discussion!

  • Canadian astronaut and YouTube sensation Chris Hadfield will be joining us! (No singing or playing the guitar this time.)

  • The first South Korean astronaut, Soyeon Yi, will talk about her experience in space and how she has adapted to life afterwards.

  • Current NASA astronaut Jessica Meir has a greeting for us — FROM SPACE! She is currently living aboard the International Space Station circling our planet.

  • Retired NASA astronaut and art ambassador Nicole Stott will join us to talk about the beauty of our planet and how it has inspired her world-wide artistic endeavors.

  • NASA astronaut Cady Coleman will also share about her flute duet with Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson to honor the 50th anniversary of Gagarin's flight during her 5-month 2011 mission to the International Space Station.

  • Bill Nye, now The Planetary Guy as CEO of The Planetary Society, will be talking with actor Cas Anvar from The Expanse about climate change our impact on the planet.

  • We will have a greeting from Robert Picardo, an actor that knows a bit about isolation from his time on Star Trek Voyager, and now works to improve this planet for all of us at The Planetary Society.

  • Rod Roddenberry, son of legendary Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, will join us to talk about his work funding incredible projects with the Roddenberry Foundation. He's also Executive Director of Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek Discovery, so we might hear a few sneak peaks on upcoming seasons too!

  • Kelvin Manning, Assistant Director (Technical) for the NASA Kennedy Space Center will give us insight into how close we are to having NASA astronauts launch aboard commercial rockets to the International Space Station.

  • Sylvia Acevedo will share her story of going from being a poor girl to working as 'rocket scientist' at JPL and then becoming CEO of Girl Scouts of the USA!

  • We also have a special message from Nick Rhodes - founding member of the iconic band Duran Duran accepting this year's Spirit of Yuri's Night Award!

All times are CT (US)
