Here in the Clear Lake area, we of course have Johnson Space Center's and Space Center Houston's celebrations, but we also have a number of locally-organized events, including a week of activities hosted by Friendswood Public Library. |

In Titusville, Florida just across the intracoastal waterway and in sight of Kennedy Space Center and point of liftoff for all the Apollo missions, the American Space Museum is having a Meet Apollo 11 Workers Event.Come and meet the man who taught the astronauts to land on the moon, Bob Pearson who ran the lunar module simulator at KSC. It is going to be a great day dedicated to the workers who got the Apollo 11 crew to the moon. |

The Bethpage Library, besides have a model LM on display permanently, has a display featuring photos and articles. There are several highlighting the Apollo 13 crew's visit to Grumman after the mission. A bit down the road, the Cradle of Aviation museum is having two events on July 20th. |
