The Avon Lake Public Library in Cleveland, Ohio is preparing to recognize the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 and the contributions of NASA Glenn Research Center. Shea Alttmont, the library's communications manager, said a special NASA exhibit, "Apollo 50: Next Giant Leap," will be featured in the library May 29 through June 10. The exhibit was developed "with a variety of detailed models, historical pictures and descriptions of this successful program putting man into space," Alttmont said.In addition, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, there will be a special presentation by NASA's Craig Williams commemorating the first manned lunar landing. | |
