NASA release
Johnson Space Center Open House

NASA's Johnson Space Center will open its gates to the public Saturday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in celebration of NASA's 60th anniversary and the International Space Station's 20th anniversary. The public will be offered a free, behind-the-scenes look at some of the agency's historic accomplishments, as well as the exciting work currently going on in preparation for NASA to return to the Moon and then travel to Mars.

During the open house, visitors will have access to a variety of exhibits and hardware, including:

  • Guest speakers from International Space Station, Orion, Exploration Integration & Science Directorate, Commercial Crew and ARES (Astromaterials Research and Exploration Science)
  • Moon Rocks
  • Apollo themed quilts
  • 3rd Rock Radio
  • Inflatable Planetarium from the Lunar Planetary Institute
  • Destination Station mobile exhibit
  • AND MORE!
While visitors will be allowed to remain on site until 2 p.m., no guests will be admitted after 1:30 p.m. No pets or firearms will be allowed on site, though service animals are welcomed.

Please check this site often during the upcoming weeks, as the list of exhibitors and speakers are being finalized.

All times are CT (US)
