Please attend. Winston is a fun and engaging speaker. Well worth the time, money and effort. If you do not think a shuttle astronaut is worth the price, then you will be missing out. So, do not delay. |

If I am fit by then I will definately be there Nick, it couldn't be more convenient for me in Northampton. So pleased you have managed to stage an event again and it certainly seems interesting. Thank you. |

Winston is bringing his trumpet with him with the offer of playing alongside school children during the planned school visits. We'll try and get a tune or two after the dinner too. All astronauts are high achievers and accomplished and have every right to "blow their own trumpets," Winston can blow his in style.

Come on folks, November’s fast approaching! Get your tickets for Winston Scott. As we know in the UK we don’t get many astronaut visits and it takes an enormous amount of work and effort to secure bookings by those putting them on for us.InspireSpace are doing a fantastic job to allow us space fanatics several opportunities to meet him, and at a very reasonable price too! Spread the word so we can get more astronauts over here. For those who don’t know much about Winston, he is a veteran of two space shuttle missions, spending over 24 days in space and completing three spacewalks totalling nearly 20 hours. Thank you InspireSpace for this fantastic opportunity to meet astronauts. Get booking! |

Please take advantage of this opportunity. It is getting harder and harder to secure astronaut talks at a reasonable price here in the USA so I urge you all to buy your tickets now so that in the future astronauts will want to attend any talks overseas. The word get around.Winston Scott is a talented speaker, musician and astronaut as well as being a great guy. Fans of all ages will be inspired! |

Tickets still available for all three events, please visit astroevent.co.uk for full details and those all important ticket purchases. Winston flew on two space shuttle missions and performed three EVAs. He is an accomplished pilot, musician and all round good guy. We have personally met him on two occasions which encouraged us to invite him and his wife Marilyn over to the U.K. their visit here. |

What a wonderful talk and Winston Scott was full of personality and enthusiasm. A great warmth and friendliness shone through about his life and career. His story is so interesting and I feel of all of the astronaut talks I have attended this is well up there with the best of them. He signed his photo provided and book with care and gave his time to converse with all individually. His wife was also a pleasure meet too. I hope they enjoy their stay in London seeing the sights as apparently this is their first trip to the UK. Lovely to see some familier faces from the north and met some new ones as well, some from London and Manchester. Good to see so many people supporting these Shuttle guys. My thanks to Nick and his team for organising this special event and so pleased I was able to attend. Please arrange another if you possibly can, they really are appreciated, I think I dare say, by all of us. |

Further to my above post I would like to add that Winston Scott gave some very good advice to anyone aspiring to a career in any subject not to get so completely absorbed to the cost of not having anything else in life to fall back on. Citing for example sports stars who usually have to retire very early in life often they are then at a loss with what to do. Being an aviator and astronaut meant an awful lot to him, and to achieve as much as he could, but he still needed another life and that helped when he retired. He added that in a way you never retire completely from being an astronaut because there are always requests for your time but you still need other interests. To my mind sound advice. |

Just to echo Kite's post, I would also like to thank Nick and his team for a great event. I had not met Winston before but I was impressed by his energy and his eagerness to talk, at length, with everyone at the event.Hopefully Nick will start planning the next event... as soon as he has had a well deserved rest. |

What an excellent event!! This was the first InspireSpace event that I had been able to make and I was glad I did. Winston Scott is an incredible speaker and he really kept you listening to his every word. What really impressed me was that he was more interested in hearing from the people who had come along rather than himself. I learnt a few interesting facts along the way that I was not aware of. He was happy to engage with people at any moment always with a smile on his face. It was also an absolute delight to meet his wife Marilyn who seemed to be enjoying the event. Nick, Bryar and Kirstie should be rightly proud of their efforts and I, along with my son who was with me, look forward to the next. I strongly advise people to support InspireSpace in the future as you will not be disappointed! |
