Good sales at the National Space Centre but more for the dinner would be appreciated. Space cocktails on arrival, excellent meals by award winning chefs, an excellent and professional speaker with astronaut Don Thomas all at the National Space Centre... what a combination. I went to the Q&A session at the Space Centre, Leicester this afternoon and Don Thomas was in sparkling form. He gave a short talk about his career and handled a variety of questions fully. The audience in the planetarium was of a wide range of ages and he dealt with the youngsters very well, emphasising that their generation would be the ones who would first go to Mars. Afterwards he was happy to sign his book "Orbit of Discovery" and had a most pleasant manner. Thank you to Don and the organisers for a very enjoyable time. | |
