This Saturday, August 1, the Space Station Museum will host the 2015 Novato Space Festival. The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission and parking are free. The event is located at:
Pacheco Plaza
464 Ignacio Blvd.
Novato, California.
Astronauts at the show include Al Worden from Apollo 15; Jerry Ross, Robert "Hoot" Gibson and Rhea Seddon from the Shuttle era. They will only sign their books.

Exhibitors include: Virgin Galactic, The National Space Society, The Planetary Society, The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, Jeff Notkin (TV's The Meteorite Man).

Astronaut Signing & Presentation Schedule

  • 10:00-10:50: Jerry Ross
  • 11:00-11:50: Rhea Seddon
  • 12:30-1:20: Al Worden and Francis French
  • 1:30-2:15: Astronaut Q&A Presentation
  • 2:30-3:00: Jerry Ross
  • 3:00-3:30: Rhea Seddon
  • 3:30-Close: Jerry and/or Rhea (book availability)
Aside from the astronauts there are a wide variety of space exhibits in the museum that for the most part you can pick up and hold. The museum is kid friendly.

As a serious space junkie, and as a collector of space memorabilia, I highly recommend checking out "The Space Station." For a small museum it packs a lot of punch.

The event should be fun. I hope to see some cS'ers there.

Make sure you pick up a copy of Rhea's book. It is well written and she took great care with the publishing. Very heavy paper and well put together.

I wish I were closer... darn.
