One Giant Leap, Inc. is participating in and helping to sponsor astronaut Donald Thomas at the New England Air Museum's annual Space Expo on March 29, 2015.

One Giant Leap will be displaying artifacts from Apollo to the ISS, plus a mockup of an Apollo spacesuit and a real flight and polo shirt from a former astronaut.

We hope you attend this fun and event and come see some great aircraft and learn some real cool space stuff.

If you would like to order a signed book from that day, please let me know. Sales from the book will help in defraying the cost of the event. I would even help ship them overseas to anyone that would like one.

The NEAM Space Expo was an excellent event that I attended several years ago. Nice exhibits, nice collection, friendly vendors, and a chance to meet an astronaut.

The NEAM is adjacent to Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT. Fellow cS member Bryan McKay of One Giant Leap Foundation helps to bring the astronaut there. This year you get to meet, greet, and listen to Astronaut Don Thomas.

If you live in the area, this is a very nice event to attend. Mark your calendar and plan your trip.

I look forward to it after I had to miss last year's. I've met Don Thomas before. I was at his 70 and 83 launches.

Please stop by and introduce yourself. We plan on offering some flown items, photos and books for a donation. We will not be offering 8x10 photos for free to be signed so if you have any, plan on bringing them. I hope people will buy the book ($20.00) instead.

Thank you all for attending. Over 1,600 people came through the door and Don Thomas filled up the room twice with his great presentations. He was very interactive with the kids and told a great story about the woodpecker and the shuttle.

Our displays were good. We had a real blue flight suit plus a mock up of an Apollo suit on display, along with artifacts flown in space. The Apollo suit was a huge draw.

We sold over 50 copies of his book at $20 each, plus Don was selling some patches, Ohio Astronaut trading cards and a real cool tile or foam lucite from STS-70. I should have gotten it but we did not do as well as we hoped. Not sure if we will ever do a book signing but we did learn a lot from this experience to help us in the future.

Also only two cS'ers introduce themselves so I guess there is not many in the Connecticut area.

If you ever get a chance, make the effort to see him at a book signing or a lecture.

I'm so glad I made the drive up there. It was great talking with Don again and visiting the One Giant Leap display. Don's presentation was so interesting, and humorous. It's hard to believe STS-70 was nearly 20 years ago.
