National Museum of the US Air Force release: Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to run in outer space? On May 15, you can find out during the "Space Fest Fun Run: Space Costume Edition" at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. A 1-mile kids' race and 5K fun run/walk will kick off this year's Space Fest. Stop by the museum on May 15-16 for exciting space-related activities, including special appearances by astronauts, a star-gaze with telescopes, a chance to see the museum's Space Shuttle Exhibit, model rocket building and launching, and much more. Admission to most activities is FREE! The event schedule at the link above notes: Additional activities, such as astronaut appearances, trivia contests, concerts, movies and more, will be added as the event nears. |
