Superb. I believe none of the Apollo 11 crew ever visited the Dish in Parkes?

No, the crew never made it to Parkes, they did come through Australia on the "Giant Step - Apollo 11 Presidential Goodwill Tour" post mission world tour but only made it to Sydney. You can read about it here. |

Just confirmed, we have two special guests at our celebration. - Michael Tobin who was involved with Apollo 11 from Orroral Valley Tracking Station
- Broadcaster and 'human headline' Derryn Hinch, who was at Cape Kennedy to witness the launch and gave a live description of the Apollo 11 launch – on Sydney’s Radio 2GB and its Macquarie Broadcasting Service across Australia.
Mike and Derryn will share some of their experiences and recollections of this historic mission 45 years ago. |

We are delighted to report that our 45th event is sold out! We will have 78 guests enjoying the film, learning about project Apollo, the mission of Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins, Australia's involvement in the mission (as part of the global tracking network that continues to this day), and celebrating man's greatest adventure! We will post pictures and videos. #Apollo45 |
