In a ceremony scheduled 11:00 am CDT on Tuesday, June 28, the Adler Planetarium unveils the James A. Lovell statue, titled 'Quest for Exploration' by artists Julie Rotblatt-Amrany and Omri Amrany. The sculpture will be part of a new exhibition featuring stories of human space exploration and America's space pioneers. |

Hey all space fans,Nice to see that Chicago events are posted here. I was at the Unveiling of the Lovell statue at the Adler, and thought you all might like to read about it. Joe-Great Job on your article concerning the event. I too had the pleasure of meeting Jim & Marilyn Lovell at a HOF event a few years ago. Two very nice people. The artist did a fantastic job on the statue. Tim | |
