Hi,
there may be a chance to meet a moonwalker in Germany, as Aldrin is attending an event in Hamburg. V. Tereshkova will be there as well. Does anybody has more information about this? Is there a free admittance to this event? Especially: How are Buzz Aldrin´s signing habits if you meet him in person, does he refuse to sign unless you pay his usual fee, or is he more generous then? Any information welcome.
Thanks and have a nice weekend!

Dottore,

This is the event Aldrin will attend:
http://www.womensworldawards.com/main.asp

Buzz Aldrin is among the laudators.

Tickets for the gala are still available: http://www.womensworldawards.com/wwa-tickets.asp

In the morning, Aldrin will visit EADS at Bremen.

Usually, Aldrin is nice in person, provided his wife is not around. However, considering the many prominent people at th Hamburg event, including former Soviet head of government Gorbachev, I'm not sure about security arrangements and how close you can really get to the famous ones.

Hm. Guess I have missed something. But I don't feel sorry for that.

During that time, I was hanging out in Mongolia, Gurragchaa country. I fulfilled a financially affordable lifetime dream (who's gonna pay me 12 million Euro for 1 week at the ISS ? now I paid mere 2500 Euro) and took a 3 week travel on the Transsiberian/Transmongolian express from Moscow to Beijing, including a 1 week camping tour in Mongolia.

Whow, that many tremendous impressions. Sorry for posting slightly off-topic but it was - in one word - terrific. Sooo many impressions.

I hope to be able to put a travel report online one of these days.

All the best,

Kirsten
