Attached are two covers I produced for the Virgin Galactic VSS Unity 22 SpaceShipTwo launch on July 11, 2021 from Spaceport America, New Mexico. The first is postmarked at the post office in Truth or Consequences, NM 87901, and the second is postmarked at the Spaceport America Station, Las Cruces, NM 88001. This was the first "Full Crew Space Flight" for Virgin Galactic. Spaceport America is located west of the U.S. Army White Sands Missile Range in Sierra County, and approximately 30 miles (48 km) southeast of Truth or Consequences.

Nice clear postal hand cancels that I would assume are "on site." Sometimes it's hard for a local post office to provide a good cancelling service as this, however, they're probably getting more space mail for cancel requests now since its where Spaceport America is located in New Mexico. |

Ken, yes, these cancellations are from the USPS on site at their respective post office, but the quality of the cancel has been hit and miss many times depending on the clerk that is servicing the envelopes. | |
