Courtesy Stephen Stein, who arranged for this pictorial postmark to be available, the revised date artwork and an update: The Mars 2020 launch postmark, designed by Detlev van Ravenswaay of Bonn, Germany, will be available for collector requests from two locations: c/o Postmaster, 8700 Astronaut Blvd., Cape Canaveral, FL 32920-9998 or Stamp Fulfillment Services [address as above]. It will also be likely extended for at least 30 days, which cannot be confirmed until the information appears in the next Postal Bulletin. |

collectSPACE Special postmark will mark Perseverance on Mars, if rover survives landingThe U.S. Postal Service plans to mark NASA's next landing on Mars later this week, if indeed the agency's Perseverance rover makes it safely down to the surface of the Red Planet. A special pictorial postmark has been designed to commemorate the touch down of the fifth U.S. wheeled robotic explorer on Mars. Perseverance is set to land in Jezero Crater on Thursday (Feb. 18), beginning NASA's first mission dedicated to searching for and caching signs of life for a future return to Earth. |

I plan on taking advantage of this, but due to the weather the post office may be closed tomorrow. That said, how long is the pictorial cancellation going to be available? Thanks! |

The postmark will be available for at least 30 days. There may also be an extension because the USPS is waiting for confirmation of the landing to have the cancellation device produced. |

I have noticed several commercial covers on eBay commemorating the landing. None of these have this new pictorial hand-stamp however. Does anyone know if any covers with this hand-stamp are in production, and when these might become available? |

Stephen Stein, who arranged for the postmark, shared this update: Regarding the February 18th Pasadena, CA Mars Perseverance Landing Postmark, due to logistical and staffing issues by the USPS in California they decided to send the cancellation device(s) and all collector requests to be processed at their Stamp Fulfillment Services facility in Kansas City, MO. They started working on everything this week nearly a month late and of course what was not originally planned and envisioned. In the next edition of the Postal Bulletin, the new information will be announced as well as a time extension for everyone to mail in their materials. |

I've now seen two items on eBay with this pictorial landing postmark. One is for the Pasadena Station, the other is for Kennedy Space Center Station.

Barring Stephen Stein or Ken Havekotte saying something to the contrary, I am fairly certain that the Kennedy Space Center postmark is a forgery. It is the wrong size and is not actually canceling a stamp, which I believe the USPS won't do. |

The KSC "postmark" is not an actual postmark but just printed as part of the cachet. Hence why there is no stamp with it and the cover has a "regular" KSC postmark. |

Has anybody received their Perseverance pictorial cancels from stamp fulfillment yet? I sent my request on March 23, 2021 only two weeks ago. I was just curious. I was just curious. |

Anybody knows if this Mars Perseverance Pasadena pictorial postmark exists in two different sizes? (large and small). |

Ours have been shipped to Stein and myself over a week ago or more, however, I believe there is only one size of the cancel design device, I am pretty sure. If anyone would like to see the cancelled covers, I'll be glad to post them here if any interest along with some special materials thus far for the Mars 2020 mission by CSM Enterprises. |

I received my cancels today. I think all who collect these cancels should send a letter to Stamp Fullfillment to show our appreciation for the great job they do. |
