China and Russia jointly issued stamps on Sept. 17, 2017 to commemorate 160 years since the birth of Soviet rocket pioneer Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, reports gbtimes.
The joint issue of the stamp by China and Russia marks the 160th anniversary of the birth of Tsiolkovsky, who is considered one of the founding fathers of modern rocketry and astronautics.
According to Xinhua, China's state news agency, the issue includes two stamps, two cachet designs and two pictorial postmarks, which honor Tsiolkovsky and China's Chang'e 3 lunar mission.
