I want to collect a larger number of launch covers for forthcoming events from Kourou, French-Guyana. The only servicer I know is Michel Vasse. However, his telephone/fax number seems not work any more. |

Do you know Espace Lollini? |

Walter, Michel Vasse just sent me my covers from the last Ariane launch so he still seems to be around. As he is also a dealer, he should be happy to hear from you.Otherwise, the clubs at the French space companies Arianespace, SEP, CNES Toulouse and also the German EADS Bremen club are in the cover business. All those should be considerably cheaper than Lollini, even though of course he has nice covers and covers the launches very well. |

Recently I started to look at Soyuz launches from Kourou and found a couple of questionable cancellations. Can anybody help me?Below is Vasse cover for Galliot tracking station, is the cancellation genuine of the station or custom made for the collectors. I've seen the Galliot cancellations in 80s and 90s - the same picture, but much more clear. Another cover with the cancellation of Soyuz Launchpad - same question. |

Walter, Michel Vasse is no longer at Kourou; he returned to mainland France. However, there is a postal clerk at the central sorting center that takes care of philatelic mail. You find the address in the latest Eilinfo newsletter. |

Galliot covers: I don't really understand the question. Michel Vasse always went down to the Central sorting center and did the cancellations himself. Whether he was allowed to take it home, I don't know. But it is the post office device. |
