I need information on the rubber stamp cachets (RSCs) used on these covers. As they are Pioneer-10/11 related, Ames may have issued these. Any information on these RSCs would be appreciated.

The Ames Stamp Club used the two bottom cachets. I don't know if they used the top one or not.

Correct, and if I recall, the bottom cachet was also used as a multi-colored printed cachet that I have in my own Pioneer 11 cover files.

I think the top RSC may had originated from the Ames Research Center public affairs office. Rather it was provided, or used, by the ARC Stamp Club, I am not sure.

This reply is ten years late, but since I am new to this website I will provide some information on these rubber stamp cachets.

All three were released by the NASA ARC Public Affairs Office (PAO). They were designed by the graphic arts department at NASA ARC. The rubber stamps were available at the PAO and at the Pioneer Project Office in Building 244 at ARC.

Many of us on the Pioneer Project used these on our own envelopes.

All times are CT (US)
