Some tie ago on early space message board, there was a discussion of Kittinger and White's Stargazer prject. We were fortunate to acquire some which came up at a Regency sale, from Numeroff (artist) estate. I did sell one of the 2 original artwork covers he made which was carried on the flight Dec. 13-14, 1962, and note that who ever bought it has it consigned to Nutmeg's Mail Bid sale ending June 12th. Estimate on this is $400, it is original artwork and signed by both pilots, bearing landing cancel. I know of a total of 5 numbered covers plus these 2 artwork ones carried on the flight for Numeroff, Kittinger tried to recall a couple of years ago for me how many were flown, but said he could not; it was "very few" however, as he said it wasn't much of a stack. This is all I have to go on, but if anyone wants a second chance, this one's at auction. Mail sale means you have to mail/phone/fax bids in to Nutmeg before sale ends. Look up Nutmeg for their web site, sale #146.------------------
