The stamps just keep coming in for 2006. What appears to be an omnibus issue now involves at least the following 14 countries/territories. Each have issued up to 8 minisheets involving a number of topics including Viking landers, Mars Orbiter, Luna 9, ISS, Giotto, Venus Express, Lunar Orbiter, Columbia/STS-1, Calispo/Cloudsat, STS-114 Return to Space & the Stardust probe. The number in brackets is the number of minisheets so far seen from those countries. I'm expecting several more to turn up in coming weeks/months. All of these are shown on the SU web site http://stargate.1usa.com/stamps/newcvrst.htm Antigua & Barbuda (4) Dominica (6) Grenada (6) Grenada Carriacou & Petite Martinique (5) Guyana (8) Liberia (8) Maldives (4) Micronesia (6) Nevis (2) Palau (6) St. Kitts (1) St. Vincent Bequia (4) St. Vincent Union island (2) Tuvalu (2) |

Wow! I'm thrilled that little old CALIPSO and CloudSat got their own stamp issues! They're among the unsung heroes of the space biz (plus near and dear to my heart). |

Gambia has now joined the omnibus issue with 2 minisheets (so far). In addition the Maldives have issued a further 2 bringing their total to 6. Micropooz will be happy to know that one of these features the Cloudsat, Calipso, Aqua and Aura satellites. |

Thanks Ross! All four of those satellites are near and dear. Now I have to hit the "new issues" dealers at the next stamp show! |

Pooz - Any specific reason these specific ones are "near and dear"? Others? |
