I just purchased an Apollo 17 crew signed cover from Walt Cunningham. It is a mission patch cover. On the cover it has a mouse in a space suit. I asked Walt what the mouse signifies, but he didn't know. Does anybody have an idea? I can send a scan to anybody that wants to look at it to see what I'm talking about. Just e-mail me at mandmj92300@sbcglobal.net. Thanks.

The mice represented an experiment called BIOCORE which means biological cosmic ray experiment. This experiment was conducted primarily to determine if heavy cosmic ray particles injure the brain and eyes. The pocket mouse was selected as the biological specimin for this experiment. This information was taken from Apollo-17 Preliminary Science report.
