I'm looking for Apollo launch covers with
printed mission emblem/crew patch multi-color
cachets.

I'm especially looking for the following:

Apollo 8
Apollo 9
Apollo 12
Apollo 14
Apollo 16
Apollo 17
SL-2
SL-3
SL-4

Thanks.

Bob--After returning from a cruise this week I wasn't able to see your post until now. I can offer you all the crew-emblem cachet covers you need, even though Apollos 8 and 9 are the more difficult ones to locate, especially in better condition. The Apollo 12 "patch" covers were produced by CKM for all the NASA "on base" and off-base exchange outlets, but as you probably know, many that were postmarked for launch contained address label stickers that were difficult to remove from the envelopes because the covers were printed on a less-rag envelope. Once the lables were removed, most all of the covers were torn and badly damaged. In addition, as you know, VIP crew-emblem cachets were produced for Apollos 14, 17, all Skylabs, and ASTP that contained the printed signatures of the crewmembers below the emblem design. These are available as well in case you need. Haven't had a chance to phone you or even check my emails, but I promise to do so this week. Hope all is well.

Thanks Ken -

Of course, you are the best source for
almost anything space-related. Apollo mission
emblem/crew patch cacheted covers are hard
to find, even though large numbers were
produced for most of the missions. A launch
canceled set for Apollos 8 thru ASTP (the
series began with Apollo 8, unfortunately,
not with Apollo 7, the 1st manned
Apollo mission) is an impressive
thing, but not easy to put together. Of
course, mission emblem/crew patch cacheted
covers have continued to the present day,
thanks to Ken's Spacecoast Cover Service, and
it's possible to put together a complete set from Apollo 8 thru STS-108 and beyond.

I'll appreciate your help with my list of Apollo crew patch covers & will be
looking forward to hearing from you at your
convenience (I'm sure you enjoyed your
cruise!).

I have collectable envelopes postmarked Cape Canaveral for:

Project Mercury
Apollo 7
Apollo 8 (one, sometime 2 envelopes for each day of the mission)
Intelsat 4

A list of envelopes with descriptions and postmark dates is available on request.
