I recently purchased these two mystery tie bars that seem to show the front and rear of the same piece of equipment, which vaguely reminds me of space hardware (LiOH canisters assembly?). Given that they are tie bars (and not tie tacks or lapel pins), they probably date to the 1960s or 70s.

Does anyone recognize this piece of hardware? Thanks in advance for any info!

It makes me think of an airborne reconnaissance camera similar to the U2 camera seen here.
