In the 1985 to 1986 time frame, I was a member of a group called the Space Patch Collector's Club out of Pittsburgh. Does anyone remember that, who it was run by and how long it lasted?

Yes, was a member there up through about 1993. It was run by a gentleman by the name of Christopher Pirollo.

I also was a member. It was a great way to stay current with the frequent STS patch releases in the pre-internet days.

I was a member as well. It was a time when mission coverage was dwindling on broadcast TV and very few periodicals had much if any information in the early 80s on the manned space flights. Aviation Week and Space Technology and Countdown were exceptions. It helped me obtain quality mission patches before eBay or the internet were options for us.

All times are CT (US)
