I have a picture of the Titanic signed by Robert Ballard and Buzz Aldrin. Does anyone know of a patch that would be good framed with the picture?

Either a patch relating to the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute's Deep Submergence Lab (where Ballard was affiliated at the time of his Titanic expeditions), or one that has RMS Titanic and/or White Star Line on it (I see eBay has a couple of designs for sale). The first type may be difficult to find.

I know you're trying to match something with an item already in hand, but I have to ask; why would anyone have Aldrin sign a photo of the Titanic?

Aldrin, who is an avid scuba diver and has explored numerous sea wrecks, dove to the Titanic aboard the submersible "Nautile" in 1996.

I never knew that. Seemed such an odd thing to have Aldrin sign otherwise!

Thanks guys, it's for my daughter, she is into the ocean and the Titanic like I am about space and NASA. She had the picture signed by Robert Ballard a while back.

We saw a Buzz quite a bit ago at a book signing and what not. She told Buzz about the picture and it brought a smile to his face. She asked him how the trip to the moon and the trip to the Titanic differed. I have it all on video, it's great.

We were able to finally get it signed at SpaceFest VI.

Gemini 3 "Unsinkable Molly Brown" patch springs to mind.
