I have seen references to how AB Emblem changed the way they make space patches sometime during the shuttle program years. Does anyone know when they made the changes to the way they embroider patches? |

I am also curious if there are any embroidery companies out there that still use the same type of machines that A-B and others used in that era. |

I believe the change was made after STS-90 in 1998. |

Kati Phelps at AB Emblem shares that based on their design numbers, the changeover from Schiffli to multihead equipment began with STS-87, then STS-92, STS-96 and forward. So AB Emblem started the transition in 1997. |

Thanks that's interesting info, Robert. I do have STS-90 in both versions. |
