Does anyone know the story behind the Mercury 7 symbol? Can it be used legally in a patch? Do I have to get permission and from whom? |

Lou, as far as I know it was the first "Astronaut Pin" used for cufflinks and lapel pins by the Original 7.As for use, I guess it would depend on the context. My Mercury Commemorative has been well received even by families of the Original guys. I look forward to seeing your patch. |

Harald, I have both patches of front of me right now. I like the symbol, but hate the colors. Anyone out there have any thoughts? |

Great would be a 4 inch fully embroidered patch having a navy blue background and maybe a light gray symbol. |
