Can anyone identify this patch and its origin? I purchased it from Space Coast International in 1991. Thank you. |

I also have one of those patches. I probably bought from the same company. I think it was an early name for the space station. I would check Encyclopedia Astronautica at www.astronautix.com This website by Mark Wade is unbelievable. The amount of info and images is staggering. If it is space related then it is on his site somewhere! Mark |

Thanks for the reply, Mark. Space Coast International's Flyer #12-A says only "Skybase (Early Design)" and that a total quantity of 100 were produced. I checked with astronautix.com without luck. I do thank you for taking the time to respond. |

I found the following info about the Skybase with my patch. quote: McDonnell Douglas 50-man base planned in 1970 cancelled.
I don't recall where I originally found the info though. |
