Nick-

Review my posts earlier in this thread. I volunteered to shepherd this project through. Robert helped post an order form and I am gathering orders until the end of April. Jacques has committed to a number of patches for cSer's across the pond.

If you are interested please download and complete the form and mail it to Jacques along with your payment.

I will place the order for the patches on Monday, May 5th right after the HOF weekend.

If I have your order form and payment - you're in if not you'll have to contact Jacques at spacepatches.nl to purchase one.

If you want this patch, you know what to do.

I've already requested a patch of Jaques. Do I have to fill in a form? And if so where can you download the form from?

I'm from the UK and therefore sent my order for 2 patches to Jaques. Does that mean my name won't be on your list? or should it be?

I just sent jacques an order. This is a great idea. Why can't collectSPACE users do this for all the "oddball" patches? Or is this design public property and others may not be?

The special order has been placed. I should have them in hand in about 4 weeks. I am already preparing the packets to send them out to you all.

(I included with the order a copy of the picture of the patch as it was being attached to the bulkhead of the ISS - so there will be no confusion.)

When the STS-124 arrived in Florida for their TCDT, was Greg Chamitoff wearing a three name Expedition 17 patch (Volkov, Kononenko, Chamitoff) or a four name version (with Reisman and Chamitoff) on the "American" side?

Per AB Emblem the order is due to ship to me on May 30th. It's two days from NC to FL via UPS ground, so I expect to have them early next week.

I've got the packets already labeled and will get them mailed out to everyone NLT June 7th. (if they ship on time)

I'll post again when I have them.

The patches arrived and I am very pleased with the quality!

I have mailed all of the individual orders yesterday first class USPS.

You will notice that there are delivery confirmation stickers on each envelope. The bar code is crossed out because I was informed that unless I sent each by Priority Mail, (at $4.50 each - I don't think so) the package would have to be 3/4" thick to use the delivery confirmation service for regular first class. I sure would appreciate if someone who works for the USPS would explain that to me. IMHO "Delivery Confirmation" aka tracking numbers should be an "A LA Cart" service added to whatever mailing service selected.

Anyway - the patches look great and you'll soon see for yourselves.

I do have a few left for those who want to get in on it now. Email me if interested.

Cheers,
Tim

The ISS now has the 4 name version onboard! I think we need to start making these now!

Notice how Garrett has velcroed the 3 name one to his leg (The photo must have been taken just after they changed the patches).

I think that would be a good idea actually, because if AB aren't making named versions then we might as well make all official versions of the patch IMO, including the 3 name Chamitoff and 4 name variations. The few of us that buy these will be able to proudly say 'I own EVERY single version of the Expedition 17 patch!!'

I support this very strongly. Can we have a 3 name (Chamitoff) and a 4 name version made? Is there wide enough support for this?

I'll go for the two other versions as well.

But with all of the different versions, it gets very confusing for our visitors to our Challenger Space Center. Those who aren't in the know, don't understand why there is 4 different versions of the same patch on our display.

Anticipating this, I've already contacted AB and we can special order both the 3-name
"Volkov - Konnonenko - Chamitoff"

as well as the four name:
"Volkov - Konnonenko - Reisman - Chamitoff"

versions right now. The cost will be $5.00 each plus $2.00 for shipping.

I will give everyone until the end of June to send me their payment. I will place the order on July 1 and expect delivery by the end of July.

Use the old order form and write down which version(s)and how many you want.

Robert remind me to thank Greg Chamitoff for wearing a 4 name when he arrived for launch but a different three name version on orbit.

Here we go again!

Tim

Is the $2.00 shipping for each patch or each order?

Thank you.
