Topic: When did Lion Brothers stop producing Apollo patches?

The question is in the title, but as a bit of background, one of the first things a new space patch collectors always hears is that one of the reasons Lion Brothers Apollo-era patches are so collectible is that they were only produced around the time of the missions themselves.So, can anyone tell me when they actually stopped producing these patches? Also, did they stop producing them all at once or phase them out from the oldest missions onwards? |

I'm not sure if this helps, but I bought a set of Lion Brothers Apollo patches from the NASM Gift Shop in Washngton D.C. in October 1981. The set was not a one off presentation; the patches were packed individually on hooks for each mission.....Very much stock items!Regards, Rick |

Thanks Rick, at least we know that it was until at least 1981.It begs another question - did anywhere else apart from NASM stock LB patches? I believe KSC and HSC both stocked AB Emblem. | |
