Now that SpaceX has achieved mankind's latest giant leap by executing a perfect return-to-pad powered landing of its launch vehicle from ~80km altitude, ~6000kph max velocity, 100 km downrange, which is pretty astounding, one of you very talented 3D CAD modelers needs to give us this stack on Shapeways!

I believe SpaceX protects the design of its rocket and spacecraft and as such, any models (unless personally created and personally printed for your own personal use) would require their license to offer to the public.

Possibly. Waaaaa, doesn't Elon have enough money? There are already several (not great) models on Shapeways. Something to look into.

I don't think it is about money (though SpaceX is a company, not a charity) as much as it is about quality control and protecting trademarks (you either defend all uses or lose the right to do so).

In any case, SpaceX is certainly not alone in this (e.g. Boeing controls the use of the CST-100 Starliner, ULA controls the use of the Atlas V, even Lockheed Martin for now controls the use of Orion [the vehicle will eventually be turned over to NASA, at which point its general design will enter the public domain, but that hasn't happened yet]).

As far as I know Nick Proach Models has the exclusive rights to all SpaceX hardware for modeling. I personally have not searched his website for available products but do know he produces in prodigious amounts for Elon Musk.

AXM Paper Models has posted its 1:100 model of the post-landing Falcon 9 stage.
The hardest part was matching the color of the soot on the exterior of the rocket once it landed. At the time of this post, I have changed the color to match it closely to the real photos.
