"Farewell, Aquarius"Apollo 13 in 1/72 scale as she appeared just prior to undocking from the lunar module Aquarius. Dragon kit with Space Model Systems decals and Bare Metal Foil on the command module (original idea by Glenn Johnson).

They flew in that configuration for about three and a half hours. It looks like the LM egress platform (porch) is raised in your photos. |

Very nice! Query: Was the white color of the heat shield the actual flight configuration, or was that a protective pre-flight wrap? The only pre-flight photos I can find online are before stacking with the blue protective layer on the other surfaces. |

Very nice. The CM looks small on its own beside the LM.I didn't know the porch moved. Was there a "stowed" and "unstowed" position? If so, when was it unstowed? Perhaps when the legs were unfolded? Thank you. |

Neither did I, if it did. Here is a view of the porch during transposition and docking. |

From what I have gathered, the heat shield was a pale gray (which washed out in the photo). It is entirely possible that my information is off. The "stowed porch" is an error in the Dragon kit that I was apprised of elsewhere and am in the process for correcting. |

Wow, what a great looking build, very impressive your foil work is. I really like these little Dragon kits. Have you considered making up the SM in the aftermath of the explosion? I have been thinking of doing one, and placing a mock CM window in front, with number markings and condensation. Kind of astronaut view. Very nice build. |
