I have recently been toying with the idea of scratch building a Gemini Lunar Lander. I find the "what ifs" of programs such as this fascinating, and I would like to give them a place in my collection. I have been fiddling with some styrene, but I can only find a few pictures such as this one to use as reference

Does anyone have any more material that might help me? Any tips to give? Or should I just use my artistic freedom, since it never came to fruition and there is no definitive design. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I thought I'd also add that it will be 1:48 scale. I can roughly estimate dimensions based on the size of the spacecraft compared to the astronaut's size, but any suggestions in this area will help as well. Thanks.

That Gemini Lunar Lander design was done by Hughes Aircraft, same contractor for the Surveyor Lunar Probe. It's basically the same design as the Surveyor, just with the necessary seat, fuel tanks, etc for carrying a man. I haven't been able to find much either in the way of good diagrams, but there's plenty of good images and diagrams of Surveyor that you could use to get most of the details you would need. Good luck and be sure to share with us your build once it's finished!
