I have two Revell "History Makers" 1/24 Gemini kits, one to make-up and one I intend to store. Strangely one has been produced in grey plastic and the other in white.

Which one is it preferable to build and paint or doesn't it really matter?

I've been a space modeler since the early 60s, and I've never heard of a white molding for the 1/24 Gemini. I would hang on to that one, and build the gray one.

Are the boxes, instructions etc the same for both?

Thanks for that PeterO. Just to clarify, are you agreeing that the white version is rare apolloprojeckt?

I've asked about the white kit on the Yahoo! Space Modelers Group. I'll let you know what I find out.

As mentioned in another thread, I have one that was produced in a medium-brown plastic; it was the store display model from Revell at the time the kit was first issued.

Is the exterior colour of the cockpit module grey? The paint scheme says so, although to me it has always looked blue?

All times are CT (US)
