I saw Airfix's 1/114 Saturn V Skylab on another site, it will be release in October of this year. I must say the scale surprises me...

I am sure this is a misprint. It should read 1:144.

It is a misprint. The majority of the Saturn is their old kit. The S-IVB workshop tooling is new. It will be launch configuration only, but the rear end of the Skylab has been tooled up, so the basics are there for somebody who wants to go the rest of the way to make an orbiting workshop with the unfurled (albeit scratchbuilt) solar arrays.

And getting those 10 solar arrays to scale - and to stay on - has been the bane of every scale modeler.

Airfix Skylab Saturn kit is now available in the U.S. via Squadron mail order (squadron.com). Saturn 1B is available via pre-order (no release date provided).
