I imagine everyone has seen the Franklin Mint pewter astronauts. They pop up on ebay every once in a while. There is one listed now... which doesn't offer the greatest photo... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3953534006&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
I've acquired a couple of them over the last year. I find them striking and that they have a great deal of detail. I have contemplated attempting to paint one of them and I was wondering if anyone had done so, what challenges there would be to painting one, does anyone have any recommendations with regard to materials and technique, and finally... is anyone willing to undertake this for a fee?
