Have parts of flown Manned Maneuvering Unit (MMU) or SAFER backpacks ever come to the collectible market? |

I do not recall having ever seen any SAFER components in private hands, but in 2018, Lunar Legacies auctioned a screw removed from one of the MMUs flown STS-41C and then again, in 2020, auctioned a screw removed from an MMU flown on STS-51A.

I have a few MMU artifacts, I believe all of which are spare parts (not flown). In addition to the light control box, gyro, and toggle switch shown, I also have a formed structural aluminum plate. |

I have a MMU Gyro in my collection. Likely a spare but status not certain. |

There will be a flown SAFER valve attached to plaque coming up for sale soon. It comes with a 50 page report on the SAFER.This will be the first time I would have seen a piece up for sale. |
